Green urea, from green ammonia and green CO2
For reasons that I can’t understand, Canada imported 900,000 mTons of urea in 2021, of which 590,000 tons were from Russia. We could make it in Canada with green CO2 from biogas upgrading offgases, and green ammonia made for hydrogen pyrolysis and nitrogen from the air. We green hydro-electricity in Quebec, BC and Manitoba and nuclear in Ontario. We have all that it takes to make it green and it is subsidized.
