HALEU

Wood Mac’s podcast, The Energy Gang, had a fairly recent episode, The Renaissance of Nuclear Power. In the fuel discussion, Carl Perez of Exodys Energy talked about the three ways of making HALEU, and how recycling the 90,000 tons of spent nuclear fuel in the United States alone could provide centuries of 24/7 carbon free power. What thoughts do you have about the technology, capacity, and time needed to recycle fuel vs. enriching or downblending?
